July 15, 2025 – We are thrilled to announce that Ashleigh Havrilesko has joined HAUS as Interior Design Associate!
Ashleigh studied interior design + construction management at Purdue University, and was awarded the program’s “Outstanding Interior Architecture Graduate” in May 2025.
Ashleigh is already fitting-in well and taking-advantage of the studio’s numerous design opportunities. Please join us in welcoming Ashleigh!
May 27, 2025 – A recent graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelors degree in Construction Management Technology, Dakota Maynard has joined HAUS and WERK as Construction Manager Associate!
Dakota fills a much-needed role in the studio, as we’re presently semi-weighted in the construction phase of a few projects via our sister construction management company, WERK | Building Modern.
He was diligent and persistent in canvasing for the position, and that has also translated to his work in the office and in the field. Please join us in welcoming Dakota (Cody) to the studio!
March 31, 2025 – We’re happy to announce that Derek Mills has elevated to Principal at HAUS and WERK!
Since joining our studio in April 2010, Derek has untiringly pursued his passion in the fields of architecture, interiors, and construction. During this time, his selfless diligence and leadership has helped forge a high-level of expertise and excellence in-the-field for himself; and therefore the studio. And for this, we are grateful.
But anyone who knows Derek understands what he really cares about; people. He cares about our clients. He cares about our teammates and colleagues. He cares about his family, and the scouts he mentors at the BSA.

June 03, 2024 – Everyone please welcome back Dylan Gahimer; he interned for us the summer of 2022 and was excited to come back to work with us full-time as an architectural associate.
Dylan holds his Bachelor’s of Architecture from Ball State University. We already know of Dylan’s attention to detail and love for technical aspects of a project and he is eager to gain more experience as he works to become licensed.
Outside of work Dylan likes to dabble in photography, explore new places, and create music. He plays four different instruments (trumpet, piano, guitar and electric bass). We are so pleased to have Dylan back with us diving into projects!
HAUS Awarded at Monumental – HAUS team was honored to receive two awards at the Monumental Awards Event at Tibbs Drive-In.
G BLOC Live + Work received an Achievement Award for Real Estate Development and also an Achievement Award for Neighborhood Revitalization.

July 10, 2023 – Sarah Borders, Architecture Student Intern, joins HAUS from the University of Pennsylvania – College of Arts and Sciences, where she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture with a minor in Urban Studies.
Sarah brings her prior experience as an architectural intern, involvement with affordable housing, participation in architectural research, and an enthusiasm for design to the studio.
We look forward to having Sarah in-studio to contribute to the work of the firm while bringing a fresh perspective to the table during her gap year until she embarks on her graduate studies.

HAUS received an AIA Excellence in Architecture 2022 Citation Award at last nights gala at Indiana State Museum.
Paul and Chris represented HAUS to receive the award for Bridge House, which has now received it’s second AIA award.
Thanks again to our clients, and AIA Indianapolis for coordinating and hosting an outstanding event.
Michael Shirley joins us as Student Intern for Spring Term through summer 2022!
He is currently pursuing his Bachelors of Architecture, with this internship putting a wrap on his 4th year.

May 2022 – As it turns-out, Michael decided to dedicate his summer to rock-climbing and renovating a bus instead of working in studio through summer. BOOOOOO !!! They are not booing, just chanting “Michael, Michael, Michael !!!” 🙂 We wish you good luck in your future endeavors, Michael!
C & P got the opportunity to spend the day shooting Back40House on this beautiful fall day in Pendleton!
Chris was definitely in his element, with many prime opportunities to “wave his arms around“; sometimes while in conversation, and other times while motioning for Paul to reposition props.
Besides helping stage the shots, Paul enthusiastically interacted with people, spaces and dogs. It was a good day all-around!
Ke’Toren Mendoza joins HAUS as architectural student intern for Fall Term!

We have moved our studio to G BLOC in Broad Ripple North Village right next to the Monon Trail!
It’s been a long COVID-influenced, socially-distanced 12 months, and we are very much looking forward to the future. In fact, we are all back together in one space again!
Although we are still keeping socially distanced (for the most-part), it’s great to be able to communicate and collaborate with team members in-person again.
